ATLANTA, Aug. 21 - Veracity Payment Solutions and BluePearl Veterinary Partners have joined in the Bequest Affinity Program to provide community level assistance to families who cannot afford the full cost of their pet's health care.

Bequest enables veterinarians to request and receive grants for discretionary pet care electronically from their point of sale terminal. The Veracity Community Foundation will maintain and disburse all funding activities for Bequest.

The boys of summer, hot dogs, cool dogs and every kind of dog in between made for a great time as the Humane Society took everbody out to the ball park for a late summer night's game and all the tail wagging you could ever want.

Therapy Animals Supporting Kids (TASK) program launch
Washington 8.17 - The American Humane Association today officially launched an innovative new program that encourages and guides child welfare professionals on how to incorporate therapy animals into sessions with children who have been abused or neglected or who have witnessed violence. When children have suffered trauma, it is often difficult for them to speak of their experiences. Incorporating a therapy animal into the process can help a child open up and promote the healing process.

Bonnie and Clyde, update
Bonnie and Clyde, two cats that came to hospice in June have been adopted. Their companion voluntarily surrendered them when it became apparent that her illness would no longer permit her to care for them.
