Stamp Out Hunger event

Now normally you won't find me pump'n up the post office but this time I gotta hand to those guys and gals in blue they've come up with a good deal for all us hungry mutts out there...Stamp Out Hunger.

Designed to coincide with USPS annual food drive this Saturday May 8th the post office is releasing this year's newest stamp picturing some of us good look'n dogs and cats urging Americans to adopt a shelter pet.

Lex Marine dog

April 2010 - On March 21, 2007, in Fallujah, Lex and his handler, 20-year-old Corporal Dustin Jerome Lee of Quitman, Miss., were on patrol when an enemy rocket-propelled grenade exploded nearby. Lex, who received several shrapnel wounds, had to be dragged away from his master's dead body by corpsmen who were trying to treat Lee.

Pet-A-Paloosa in the Sun Dome

It's an ADOPTATHON... 60,000 square feet of dog goings on - respect!

What could be better than all the "Dogs in the House" as we get ready for Pet-A-Paloosa in the USF Sun Dome Feb. 28th.

All the best dogs will be there showing off their rescue groups, some of our favorites: Big Cat Rescue, Humane Society of Tampa and Suncoast Basset Rescue to name a few and lots of vendors too.

We'll be there for our Tampa debut. For Paws Hospice will be on hand with loads of give aways, a petwheels demonstrat...

Bark at the Ball Park

The boys of summer, hot dogs, cool dogs and every kind of dog in between made for a great time as the Humane Society took everbody out to the ball park for a late summer night's game and all the tail wagging you could ever want.
