Taxi dog and the Sacramento Bee have made a connection and now you can read all about it at Sac Paws, the premier pet community resource in central California.
For Paws Hospice is pleased to be a partner blog of the Bee; now we have two great cities to call home Tampa Bay and Sacramento.
Please visit the Taxi dog blog and join our community of pet families and For Paws working to keep pets and their families together.
Just a word of explanation then please take some time and explore. Yes, we're located in Florida which is a lot like CA but with more beaches and alas, fewer vineyards. To be more accurate, we're in Tampa Bay with all its rich heritage of spanish exploration, Cuban cigars and people who get excited about their pets; like Sacramento we have lots and lots of dogs here.

Molasses Dry hay straw Salt blocks Dried corn cobs Dried oats and wheat berries Dried clover Suet Seeds Preserved fruits and berries Cream
My grandfathers, both farmers with ties to the land the natural world of critters, revered above all: family, their livelihoods and the animals that made everything possible.
I remember a Christmas when I first learned the extent to which this bond was revered. That Christmas day began like most days on a farm,...

Homelessness hurts more than just people and families, it hurts their pets and it hurts society. Homelessness is the obscenity of our time and our shame if we do nothing.
Because most shelters today do not allow pets many homeless elect to remain homeless rather than abandon their companions.
One estimate puts the number of homeless in America at 3.5 million; no one knows how many pets live with their owners on the street but in 2007 nearly 40% of all U.S. households owned at least on...

Taxi dog tales
On my way back from California UC Davis and the Symposium on Veterinary Hospice a woman whom I had met in the airport found me staring out from my window seat in 2nd class - all dogs in this country are required to fly 2nd class - and gave me this book, I devoured it; next flight I believe I will ask about first class accommodations.
